Party for Poe with the Poe Museum! Our annual Birthday Bash is the largest birthday celebration in the world for Edgar Allan Poe, who was born on January 19, 1809. Our event will have a walled, heated tent and feature live music, tours, living history, theatrical presentations, readings, and much more! Scroll down for schedules.
Yes, we're going on even in the rain! Enjoy the programming within our walled, heated tent courtesy of Party Perfect!
Parking: we have limited spaces in our parking lot, and the hourly street parking around the museum does not apply on weekends. After 3pm, additional event parking is available in the Virginia Holocaust Museum's parking lot, accessible from 21st Street and only 1.5 blocks from the Poe Museum.
This event will feature tours, live music, readings, book talks, theatrical performances, and more! We welcome local author and speaker Harry Kollatz, Jr. and Alex Zavistovich of the National Edgar Allan Poe Theatre as our emcees for the day.
Plan your day with the schedule below! The $10 admission allows you to come and go, and covers all of the experiences aside from the trolley tour, which is only $10 extra.
TENT Schedule Programs happening within and near the walled, heated tent
Tours and More Programs happening around the site and neighborhood
We are proud to partner with RVA On Wheels once again to provide trolley tours of Edgar Allan Poe's hometown.
